Software-update: 1Password 8.11.10

Voor de veiligheid is het beter om voor ieder account een ander en sterk wachtwoord te gebruiken. Als een bepaalde dienst wachtwoorden laat uitlekken, zijn niet al je andere accounts met hetzelfde wachtwoord toegankelijk. Voor het bijhouden van al deze verschillende wachtwoorden zijn wachtwoordmanagers een uitkomst. 1Password is er hier een van en is beschikbaar als webapplicatie, als app op verschillende platforms en als extensie voor de meestgebruikte browsers. Het kan twee weken geprobeerd worden, waarna een licentie moet worden aangeschaft. Voor meer informatie over de mogelijkheden verwijzen we naar deze pagina. In versie 8.11.10 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen doorgevoerd:

• JSON Web Tokens stored in concealed item fields can now be decoded and viewed.
• We’ve added breadcrumbs to the Developer Environment pages to improve navigation.
• Previous versions of 1Password Developer Environment variables can now be viewed and restored.
• Localization has been improved for a number of our supported languages using new translations from Crowdin.
• We’ve fixed an issue where MDM-managed devices couldn’t unlock the app with approved biometric methods.
• The taskbar icon now displays correctly in light mode for the MSIX version of 1Password for Windows.
• We’ve fixed an issue where a banner for an app update was shown incorrectly when you used the App Installer.
• The “Scan QR code” button now works as expected when you create or edit an item.

• Localization has been improved for a number of our supported languages using new translations from Crowdin.
• We’ve fixed an issue where multiple editing screens could be displayed on top of each other.
• When you edit an item in the app, the “Create new password” suggestion is now shown below the password field rather than above your keyboard.
• We’ve fixed an issue where an account password and Secret Key prompt appeared incorrectly when you changed the email address of an SSO account.

• We’ve fixed an issue where the app wouldn’t load properly after you searched, locked, and then unlocked the app.

• We’ve removed the hamburger menu from the toolbar in the 1Password pop-up. Notifications and options such as “Lock 1Password” and “Settings” are now available in a side panel, which you can open from the account menu in the top left of the pop-up.
• We’ve made improvements to how 1Password interacts in form fields in the upcoming releases of Safari.
• If your browser extension and desktop app are connected, you now have the option to choose between three security setting presets in the browser extension. To manage your presets, select Security review in the bottom left corner of the browser extension pop-up.
• Localization has been improved for a number of our supported languages using new translations from Crowdin.
• We’ve fixed an issue with filling on BarclaycardUS.com.
• The correct prompt now appears when reauthenticating 1Password accounts with Duo MFA in the browser extension.
• We’ve fixed an issue where Fastmail masked emails wouldn’t fill in some iframe forms.
• We’ve fixed an issue where the “Save passkey” prompt appeared unexpectedly on certain websites.
