Versie 2.25 van EMDB is uitgekomen. EMDB, wat staat voor Eric's Movie Database, is een gratis programma waarmee een filmcollectie kan worden beheerd. Hoewel de download slechts 2MB groot is, beschikt het over uitgebreide functionaliteit. Zo kan relevante informatie van onlinedatabases als IMDb, MovieMeter, TMDb en TheTVDB worden opgehaald, kan worden bijgehouden welke films uitgeleend zijn en kunnen films die op de harde schijf staan direct vanuit het programma gestart worden. EMDB kan worden gebruikt in diverse talen, waaronder het Nederlands. Sinds versie 2.22 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

- Localization: Fixed some decimal point localization mistakes in the Statistics Options Page.
- Localization: Currency unit is now also retrieved from the Windows localization settings.
- Search: Fixed a crash when trying to search for Genres with custom genres defined.
- Statistics: Added statistics for Genres.
- AutoUpdater: AutoUpdater now only updates required files bases on the version already present.
- Translations: Updated the Arabic, Czech and Dutch translations.

- Database: Removed 'Cabaret' and added 'News', 'Reality-TV', 'Game-Show' and 'Talk-Show' to the possible Genres to be in sync with the IMDb genres again.
- MovieMeter.nl: Updated the soon to be deprecicated Xml-Rpc API to JASON.
- Playlists: Changed back the playlist file format from Unicode to ASCII as several Media Players (VLC, Windows Media player) can't seem to handle Unicode m3u playlists.
- Print: Font and size are now configurable.
- Print: Added a Thumbnail Overview print template. More templates to come.
- TV Series: Added an option to replace the banner downloaded from TheTVDB.org as they don't always provide the right one or in the requested language.
- TV Series: Made the TV Series Dialog a bit lower to fit the minimal resolution (1024 x 768) again.
- Translations: Updated the Spanish, Czech, French and Dutch translations.
- Database: Added Awards field. The number of Oscars (or Oscar nominations), Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards are imported from IMDb.
- Localization: EMDB now uses the Windows localization settings for decimal points in displaying ratings, file sizes, values, etc.
- User Interface: Updating to new version from the About screen did not close EMDB.
- Database: Repair database removed voice only actors.
- Edit multiple Movies: Value field was not updated.
- Add/edit Movie: Fixed a crash when trying to edit the actors of a movie with only one actor.
- Translations: Updated the Catalan, Czech, Arabic and Dutch translations.
