Bolt is een opensource content management systeem en is daarmee in bepaalde opzichten vergelijkbaar met programma's als Wordpress en Drupal. Bolt is eenvoudig in gebruik, voor zowel installatie als beheer, heeft diverse goed uitziende templates die met Twig zijn aan te passen, en is geoptimaliseerd voor zowel desktop als mobiele omgevingen. Halverwege december is versie 2.0 uitgekomen en en enkele dagen geleden is er met versie 2.0.6 een update verschenen. de release notes voor die uitgave zijn hieronder te vinden.

Improvements and changes
- Bolt would store a lot of files in the
app/cache
-folder that were very deeply nested in folders. While this causes no problems by itself, there was no need to create so many folders. As of this release the amount of folders created is limited to 2 deep.- We've changed and improved the way
