New features and enhancementsBug fixes
- Updated CIFS service to address recent security issues.
- Updated iSCSI service for better ESXi5 compatibility.
- Updated AFP service to address Time Machine compatibility.
Limitations
- If using both rear USB ports, backup jobs were using the Right port only.
- Fix to iSNS (iSCSI) service to prevent possible service crash.
- Backup Config will not backup iSCSI config, prevents restore error. Backup Jobs can be confused for iSCSI backups.
- When performing a Remote Update, and already had the latest version, there was no message describing the already up to date situation.
- Update IP validation checks to allow valid IPs such as 10.0.10.0 that were previously blocked.
- Resolve issue where FrontView could take a long time to initially load if there was no Internet connection available.
- Once you upgrade to this release, you cannot downgrade back to 4.2.15 or prior releases.
- IE 6 no longer supported. Please update to IE 7 or 8.
- Volume expansion will not work beyond 16 TB. To support 16 TB or greater, you’ll have to factory default with that capacity in place.
- Snapshot resizing is disabled in the release. We will re-enable this feature in a future update.
