Software-update: Mp3tag 2.40

Mp3tag kan op een eenvoudige manier de metadata van verschillende audiobestanden aanpassen. Ondersteuning voor onder andere Vorbis Comments, id3- en apev2-tags is aanwezig. Daarnaast kan het ook de ingesloten cover art van sommige audiobestanden aanpassen, de artiest of de titel opzoeken via de online database van freedb en Amazon, en kunnen playlists automatisch aangemaakt worden. De ontwikkelaars hebben versie 2.40 met de volgende lijst van aanpassingen naar buiten gebracht:

Gebruik dit programma al jaren en ben er zeer tevreden over. Een van de weinige programma's waar ik spontaan voor gedoneerd heb!

Alle nieuwe Mp3's bij gaan eerst langs Mp3tag om de tags aan te passen. En dan aan de hand van de nette tags pas ik de bestandsnaam aan. Daarbij gebruik ik de freedb koppeling bijna altijd. Meestal om de tags goed te krijgen, maar worden de bestanden bijv. niet gevonden in de freedb dan is dat bijna altijd een teken dat een CD niet compleet is.

Dit programma is *juist* bedoeld om de tags te wijzigen. Om de bestandsnamen te wijzigen weet ik niet eens of het wel de handigste oplossing is.

Juist ook. bij sommige nummers staan de tags goed (arties, track en titel) en dan kan jij zeggen dat wat in de ID3-tag staat als bestandsnaam gebruikt moet worden.
Dat kan dan weer op de manier zoals jij het wilt: Track - Artiest - Titel.mp3 of juist Artiest_-_Titel.mp3 of hoe jij je nummers ook maar opslaat op je computer.
Het is een heerlijk programma en je kan ook meteen een afbeelding aan het nummer toevoegen (zoals de albumhoes)

Klinkt goed. Als ik het goed begrijp is dit dus om de namen van MP3 bestanden te fixen? Lijkt me erg handig, want vaak zit er overbodige troep in bestandsnamen zoals underscores en andere toevoegsels.

Kun je hiermee ook ID3 tags wijzigen? Want mijn Zen V MP3 speler sorteert bijvoorbeeld op Artiest, maar vaak heb ik dan wat nummers die onder 'onbekende artiest' staan, of soms heb ik 2 mappen van 1 artiest omdat er een typo in de ID3 tags staat. P.O.D. en P.O.D bijvoorbeeld.

Het kan beide. Sterker nog: het kan redelijkerwijs alles wat je zou willen om ID3 tags en bestandsnamen aan te passen. Ik vind het samen met de tagger functionaliteit van Foobar de meest overzichtelijke en functionele tagger

Het enige dat ik nog mis is dat je de ratings van winamp IN de bestanden kan opslaan, zodat die ratings ook in WMP uitgelezen kunnen worden en ook bij een crash/backup eenvoudig opnieuw ingelezen kunnen worden

Zijn verscheidene tools voor, gebruik zelf al jaren mp3bookhelper http://mp3bookhelper.sourceforge.net
Kan ook van alles, tags van multiple files of van single files editen, single of multiple tags editen, allerlei edit types, renaming, replace functies, wegschrijven naar id3v1 en id3v2 tags, m3us maken, freedb koppeling, tot nu toe niet echt iets gemist met dit tool. Omdat t zoveel kan moet je wel de moeite nemen er handigheid in te krijgen en meer opties betekent meestal iets meer zoeken.

Maar ben benieuwd, zal hier ook ns naar kijken.

Jammer dat er nooit een MAC versie gebouwd is van dit pakket. Dit is wat mij betreft het best werkende pakket voor IDTags

De Nederlandse vertaling van Mp3tag is trouwens gemaakt door ondergetekende.

Als er op- of aanmerkingen op zijn, hoor ik dat graag.

Ik gebruik deze tool al jaren en ben er nog steeds erg tevreden over.

Heerlijk progje. Wat ik wel mis is een 'van - naar'-overzicht, zodat je weet dat de nieuwe namen ook kloppen, wanneer je de namen van een server afhaalt. Ik heb wel eens een Enigma-CD gehad, waarvan de titels opeens niet meer klopte omdat de volgorde van de uitvoering die ik had, anders was dan de uitvoering waarvan ik de titellijst toepaste.
