_zeus_ stuurde ons naar AthlonOC waar melding is gemaakt van een nieuwe Athlon Thunderbird-stepping. Deze is herkenbaar aan de afkorting AYHJAR en blijken zeer geschikt om mee over te klokken. Volgens de informatie werden 75 van deze Tbirds @ 1GHz getest die gemiddeld de 1668MHz haalden:
I'm sure everyone of you reading this is familiar with the mysterious stepping codes that are found on the AMD Athlon and Duron processors. If you aren't, then you can read this article here to get a good idea of things. Well the reason you are reading this right now is that we've found some new steppings that we haven't been seen before, they have 6 letters in the first line instead of the 5 from before.
Let's get down to the details, I'm sure you don't want to wait any longer, here's an idea of the highest lowest and average speed of these new stepping CPU's. These are TBIRD 1.0's and there were 75 tested. Testing Platform was Iwill KK266 with Enermax 430 Watt PSU and MicroBGA SDRAM. Cooled with an OCZ Gladiator.
