Op de site van de Jerusalem Post is te lezen dat Israelische (ex-)hackers samen een front vormen tegen Palestijnse hackers. Aanleiding hiervoor was de defacing van de website van de Open University aldaar, hackers zetten daar een plaatje op van een jongetje dat over een Israelische vlag urineert...
De groep, die zichzelf Israeli Internet Underground noemt, heeft hulp gevraagd en gekregen van Ehud Tenenbaum, a.k.a. Analyzer. Tenenbaum is de bekendste hacker van Israel, maar nu keurig CTO van het beveiligingsbedrijf 2XS.
The IIU site, which includes a list of all the Israeli sites that have been attacked and those that are still targeted, declares: "Our goal is to inform, provide solutions wherever we can, and protect our sites against political cyber-vandalism. Make sure you won't be the next victim." [...]
Tenenbaum said that a Pakistani group called G-Force has set up dozens of sites calling for cyber attacks on Israel.
In response, IIU has offered to do a security rundown on the vulnerability of Israeli Web sites, and has brought in 2XS - the only company out of five approached to agree - to perform first aid. 2XS has since helped hundreds of Israeli sites protect themselves with its own methods
Een tegen "Analyzer" aangespannen proces staat al sinds 1999 op een laag pitje. Hij richt zich met zijn 2XS nu volledig op het helpen van Israelische bedrijven tegen Palestijnse aanvallen.
