Though this isn't really related, the link directly preceding the Gigabyte news has details on Matrox's upcoming G800 series of video accelerators. The specs look fairly impressive, with a DDR 200 MHz (400 MHz) memory interface supporting up to 6.4 GB/s. Impressive though it may be, it is not actually impressive as the older specifications we have seen, indicating up to 8 GB/s with 250 MHz DDR. Interestingly, it seems multi-chip implementations will be supported (similar to 3DFX's Voodoo series, for example).
