With video cards based on NVIDIA's GeForce2 MX offering such similar features, price and software bundle are arguably the most important factors in choosing the card that's right for you. If you're more concerned with game bundles than card utilities, the boards from ELSA and Hercules will more likely appeal to you. But, if you're like us, hardware utilities are more important. This niche is served well by ASUS and AOpen.
The ABIT board is somewhere in between, offering a hardware utility that's more robust than the offerings from ELSA and Hercules (which offer no utility), but nowhere near as powerful as the utilities from AOpen and ASUS. When you consider the fact that the ELSA and Hercules boards can be overclocked with the Coolbits registry tweak, the ABIT loses this advantage over both boards.
As a result, the Siluro GF2 MX is a good board, but not a great one. Considering that ABIT has been in the 3D video market for less than a year, this isn't surprising. ASUS and AOpen certainly didn't rise to the top overnight.
