Considering this is ABIT's first time to play in the video market place, we have to say they have made a big entrance. I have to think that ABIT is expected to bring a card to market that is VERY OCable otherwise it would be a big blow to their reputation. Outside the fact that the heatsink and fan unit on the card is piece of junk, everything under the heatsink was top shelf.
Unlike what we have seen with the other recent TNT2 and TNT2 Ultra cards that are out there, we saw SERIOUS performance gains when OverClocking this card depending on how it was being used. Again we see ABIT give us much more than is promised by the manufacturers specifications, and that is what we have come to expect. I imagine it is pretty hard being in ABIT's shoes sometimes. With a fan base like us, who would need enemies?
We have come to expect so much from those guys it is surprising to me that they keep up the work that they do. We have seen them slip in being first to market with every new chipset in the last 9 months, but this new line of Siluro cards does in some way make up for some of that.
Bottom line, the ABIT Siluro GeForce is top-shelf. This card will replace the Guillemot Prophet that I have in my own box now.
