Volgens dit berichtje van Well Rounded Entertainment mogen we de nVidia GeForce2 MX 28 juni in de winkels verwachten. Zoals je al had kunnen lezen in deze nieuwsposting is de MX een 'light' versie van de GF2 GTS met een 2 pixel pipeline, een core speed van 175MHz en 32MB SDRAM geheugen op 166MHz.
nVidia's about to roll out another card. The company, already a favorite of hardcore games with its GeForce and GeForce 2 cards, will court a more mainstream audience later this month. On Wednesday, June 28th, nVidia will introduce a new GPU, with which it hopes to capture a broader user base. nVidia, of course, will have a separate shot at earning casual- and console-gamer loyalties next year, when it supplies the graphics component of Microsoft's X-Box.
The idea's a simple one: Bring the GeForce to the masses. Sources tell us that the GPU will offer GeForce-level graphics in a much more affordable card, most likely with a little less power the the GeForce currently on store shelves. We'll have a full report for you next week.
