GamePC komt ons verblijden met een review van de Asus V6800/64 MB GeForce DDR, een leuk (maar duur) kaartje met niks uitzonderlijks alleen wat extra geheugen:
Back when the original GeForce 256 specs were announced from Nvidia, everyone was stunned when they stated 64MB memory support on paper. Of course, everyone immediately wanted one, and some shunned off 32MB cards, waiting patiently for the 64MB versions to arise. Now today we're looking at the first 64MB GeForce card to hit the market, Asus's V6800/64 Pure GeForce DDR. Hype for this and all other 64MB GeForce cards has surely died down in the last month or two, now that Nvidia's NV15 and 3dfx's Voodoo 4/5 cards are now on the not-too-distant horizon.
[...] For costs sake, Asus will most likely only be making a "Pure" version of the card, rather than have a separate Deluxe version with all the extras (which would cost around $400+ most likely). This means with the Pure card, you don't have TV-out or Digital Flat Panel out, nor do you have any extras like S-Video or Composite video Input or 3D glasses. This card JUST has an HD-15 D-Sub monitor connector, nothing else, but hey, what else do you really need?[break]Digital Web heeft ook een review gemaakt van de V6800 alleen dan van de DeLuxe versie met 32 Mb DDR Ram, een kaartje vol met features die niet te vinden zijn op de standaard GeForce kaartje (hardware monitoring, S-Video in en TV-Out en een VR brilletje):[/break]This is where you have to decide how much money you want to spend on your next video card. V6800 Deluxe is not cheap and I should say that it is not for everyone's pocket. But despite that, it is the best GeForce256 DDR video card money can buy today! You won't be disappointed by any of the features V6800 Deluxe comes with, except maybe when you'll get your credit card bill. This card will bring a totally new multimedia experience to your computer together with best 3D performance. ASUS has always provided us with the excellent quality products and their video cards' line isn't an exception. You can be sure of the new driver updates in time and hey, this is an ASUS we are talking about, where quality and performance are paired together!
