Software-update: Parallels Desktop for Mac build 3186 final

Parallels heeft het afgelopen halfjaar hard gewerkt aan Desktop for Mac en drie bètaversies en drie release candidates uitgebracht. Desktop for Mac is Parallels virtualisatiesoftware voor Mac OS X en is in staat om via een virtual machine diverse besturingssystemen op de hostcomputer te draaien, met in het bijzonder Windows, maar ook andere operating systems zoals Linux-distributies, OS/2 en Solaris. Ook is Desktop for Mac in staat om een Windows-installatie die via Boot Camp op de Mac is gezet, als virtual machine te draaien. Gisteren hebben de ontwikkelaars echter de eerste finalversie op hun eigen forum aangekondigd. Als final hebben ze gekozen voor build 3186, die onder meer gebruikt kan worden op het nog uit te brengen besturingssysteem Mac OS X 10.5 en gebruikers in staat is met Windows Vista te werken in een virtuele omgeving.
