Software-update: Futuremark 3DMark06 build 1.1.0

Via een persbericht heeft Futuremark laten weten dat er een nieuwe versie is uitgebracht van 3DMark06, waardoor de benchmark een upgrade heeft gekregen naar buildnummer 1.1.0. De nieuwbakken versie kan gedownload worden als patch en als full version. Het verschil in de twee downloads zit het aantal bytes die naar binnen gehaald moeten worden: voor de patch is dit een schamele 7MB, terwijl de full version ruwweg 580MB in beslag neemt. Futuremark heeft een aantal veranderingen doorgevoerd in 3DMark06 build 1.1.0, zoals ondersteuning voor Windows Vista en Internet Explorer 7. Ook is de SystemInfo-software geoptimaliseerd waardoor 3DMark06 sneller opstart en zijn er de nodige bugs eruit gehaald:

Important Notes:

• 3DMark06 Build 1.1.0 is the only supported version of 3DMark06. The Online ResultBrowser doesn't allow any submissions from any of the previous versions of 3DMark06.
• 3DMark06 Build 1.1.0 is available both as a patch and as a full installation.
• Your current registration codes for 3DMark06 works for Build 1.1.0 as well.
