Software-update: Data Crow 2.9

Gisteren hebben de ontwikkelaars van Data Crow een nieuwe versie van het programma online gezet. Het gaat dit keer om versie 2.9, die via deze pagina gedownload kan worden in verschillende uitvoeringen. Data Crow is in Java geschreven en stelt je in staat om een database bij te houden met daarin informatie over cd's, dvd's, software, boeken en muziekbestanden. Op deze manier is het mogelijk om een eigen databank bij te houden met de cd's, dvd's, software, boeken en muziekbestanden die jij in het bezit hebt. Data Crow haalt automatisch de benodigde gegevens van het internet en verzamelt deze. Ook is het mogelijk om het uiterlijk van het programma aan te passen en je verzameling te printen. Het changelog van Data Crow 2.9 ziet er als volgt uit:

• Bug: Unacceptable high memory usage for list views
• Fix: A smaller version of the images is stored (alongside the normal version). The smaller version is used in the list view, saving memory and increasing the performance.
• Bug: [1577577] db upgrade 2.8.7 -> newer fails
• Bug: Error in the states, category, platform and storage media forms. Opening an existing item did not show the icon
• Bug: Rarely occurring bug: item window won't close
• Bug: Images not shown in the PDF reports
• Bug: Incorrect button height (bug on Feature Request 1571167).
• Fix: Size has been increased by 4
• Bug: Nullpointer in report for item with empty rating
• Bug: Stop does not work for reporting
• Fix: When pressing stop the report generation is cancelled
• Bug: Unnecessary disk writes on saving from the item form containing images
• Bug: Rarely occurring bug: error when opening an item with images
• Bug: Audio Tracks in the Report were repeated from one album (table view)
• Bug: PDF reports too large
• Fix: Smaller versions of the images are used, reducing the PDF reports to a mere tenth of the original filesize
• Bug: After deleting the properties file Data Crow asks to upgrade the software platsforms which has been done already
• Bug: Nullpointer exception in the update all
• Bug: Audio tracks in the table insert view incorrect; it does not work at all
• Bug: Remove on Audio Track doesn't work (removes the new audio CD instead)
• Bug: Clear on new tab with table view did not work correctly for Audio CD's with tracks
• Bug: Missing help for the Look & Feel dialog
• Bug: Delete not working for audio tracks
• Bug: Double loading of tracks / Flickering on screen when changing between Audio CD's in the table view

• Nicer looking splashscreen
• Added 8 new themes (from http://www.javootoo.com, skin look & feel)
• Minor changes to the default report layouts

[Known issues]

• Track lengths are unavailable when using the Amazon online search for audio cd's. This will be fixed by implementing the MusicBrainz online search.
