De ontwikkelaars van Skype Technologies S.A. hebben een nieuwe versie van Skype uitgegeven voor het Mac OS X-platform en hieraan het versienummer 1.0.0.18 meegegeven. Met dit VoIP-programma is het mogelijk om gesprekken te voeren via de computer met andere Skype gebruikers of tegen betaling kan je bellen naar of gebeld worden van een normale telefoonaansluiting. Het changelog van deze nieuwe release ziet er als volgt uit:

- bugfix: online status was changed to "Away" after returning from idle
- bugfix: some voicemail related status texts updated
- bugfix: incorrect number for a SkypeIn call
- bugfix: offline contacts are not sorted into two groups depending whether they have Voicemail privileges or not
- bugfix: missed events didn't show up in the MySkype tab after "log is as a new user" had been performed
- bugfix: most of the contacts remained offline, when re-connected to the internet
