Abit heeft voor zijn moederborden uit de AA8-serie een nieuw BIOS uitgebracht die 2.2 als het versienummer heeft meegekregen. Deze BIOS is geschikt voor de AA8-DuraMAX, AA8-3rd Eye, AA8XE en AA8XE-3rd Eye en allen bieden ze plaats voor een Pentium 4 processor in een LGA 775-package. Het meegeleverde changelog ziet er als volgt uit:
- Fixed the issue that system may hang when pressing ALT-F2 at full screen logo screen.
- Fixed minor wording issue when CPU with 2M L2 cache is installed.
- Change the adjustable FSB range to 500MHz.
- Added new item "Execute Disable Bit" and set the default to "Disable".
- Added EIST control item.
- Add "C1E Function" control item.
- Fixed the issue that system may hang when SATA port 4 in used.
