Versie 26.2 van MobaXterm is uitgekomen. Dit veelzijdige programma heeft alles aan boord om een verbinding naar een andere computer op te zetten. Het kan overweg met onder meer SSH, Telnet, RDP, VNC en FTP. Het kan meerdere sessies in tabbladen weergeven en het kan ook als portable app worden gebruikt. MobaXterm is gratis voor thuisgebruik met slechts lichte beperkingen; een licentie voor in een commerciële omgeving kost 49 euro. Daarvoor mag het programma voor altijd worden gebruikt en krijg je ook ondersteuning en updates voor een jaar. De changelog voor deze uitgave ziet er als volgt uit:

- Added a new "Duplicate tunnel" button in the "MobaSSHTunnel" port forwarding tool
- Improved the font selection control when the dark theme is enabled
- Improved the background color of pasted text in the 64-bit local terminal
- Improved Windows XP and Wine for Mac/Linux compatibility by using replacement system calls when recent ones are not available
- Prevented the terminal from freezing when pasting very large text
- Increased the number of lines taken into account when printing terminal content
- Improved startup speed by removing unnecessary file checks
- The contextual macro menu triggered with Alt+Space now appears in detached windows, even if they do not correspond to the current tab
- Added a new right-click menu option in the sessions tree to collapse all open session folders
- Fixed delayed closing of SSH sessions with the error message "SCP transfer in progress, please wait"
- Fixed glitches when switching to the dark theme with an FTP or SFTP session open
- In the Professional Edition, "%" characters in the "force log folder" field could break the "Terminal type" value
- In the Professional Edition, the Customizer did not remember the dark theme when it was previously selected
- Fixed refresh issues with the "private key" field in SSH sessions when selecting part of it in dark mode
- Fixed an issue causing the MobaXterm desktop shortcut to request administrator privileges on first launch on some Windows versions
- Removed the "msimg32.dll" library dependency
