Jam Software heeft versie 9.6 van Treesize Professional uitgebracht. Dit programma geeft handige overzichten van wat er op de harde schijf staat. Zo is onder andere te zien hoe groot de bestanden zijn, hoeveel ruimte ze innemen, wanneer ze het laatst benaderd zijn, wie de eigenaar is en wat de NTFS-compressieratio is. Dat alles kan vervolgens in een 3d- of taartpuntgrafiek worden weergegeven voor enkele files, een folder, een partitie of de hele harde schijf. De software is beschikbaar in de smaken Personal en Professional, waarbij de eerste niet op servers kan worden gebruikt, niet met netwerkdrives overweg kan en ook minder exportmogelijkheden heeft. Daarnaast is er ook een gratis versie die echter minder vaak wordt bijgewerkt. Meer informatie is op deze pagina te vinden. In deze release zijn de volgende veranderingen aangebracht:
New functions and improvementsError corrections
- TreeSize now supports Google Drive even without synchronization to the local file system. This allows TreeSize to analyze and search Google Drive storage and perform any file operations. It is possible to log in and out at any time via the scan dialog.
Further information can be found in this blog post.- File search: A new function for filtering and searching search results has been added. Results can also be refined for large result sets without having to start a new search.
- File search: When starting a search, columns that match the current filters are now displayed automatically. The behavior can be activated or deactivated via an option.
- Experimental: TreeSize now supports scanning Azure Blob Storages that use a custom endpoint (e.g. Nasuni).
- TreeSize now supports authentication via passkey for SharePoint scans.
- The line spacing of list elements has been increased. The previous line spacing can be restored via a new option in the view settings.
- The loading time for opening the scan dialog has been shortened.
- The dialog for advanced file operations is now also available in the "Top files" view.
- It is now visible in the title bar when TreeSize was started as administrator.
Miscellaneous
- An error when opening SQLite exports with deactivated file age statistics has been fixed.
- An error that could occur with empty filter settings has been fixed.
- An error that caused the scan dialog to close when the focus was lost has been fixed.
- An error when deleting files within zip files has been fixed.
- An error where a special character in the user name or certificate path caused it not to be recognized correctly has been fixed.
- A possible error when combining a large number of search filters has been fixed.
- File search: An error when using automated deduplication in combination with the export of search results has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug in the Excel export that caused the column width to be too narrow.
- File search: The value "Directories", which specifies the number of subfolders, can now be displayed correctly.
- The TreeSize help has been technically updated and now offers a more modern design with improved functionality.
- The SQLite3 dependency has been updated to the current version 3.50.2.
