Jam Software heeft versie 9.7.1 van TreeSize Professional uitgebracht. Dit programma geeft handige overzichten van wat er op de harde schijf staat. Zo is onder andere te zien hoe groot de bestanden zijn, hoeveel ruimte ze innemen, wanneer ze het laatst benaderd zijn, wie de eigenaar is en wat de NTFS-compressieratio is. Dat alles kan vervolgens in een 3d- of taartpuntgrafiek worden weergegeven voor enkele files, een folder, een partitie of de hele harde schijf. De software is beschikbaar in de smaken Personal en Professional, waarbij de eerste niet op servers kan worden gebruikt, niet met netwerkdrives overweg kan en ook minder exportmogelijkheden heeft. Daarnaast is er ook een gratis versie die echter minder vaak wordt bijgewerkt. Meer informatie is op deze pagina te vinden. In deze release zijn de volgende veranderingen aangebracht:

- The scan performance has been significantly improved. A scan without additional statistics is now up to 50% faster.
- The input of the search target in the file search has been fundamentally revised for easier handling. Paths can now also be added directly by clicking in the search target line.
- TreeSize now makes it possible to display the occupied storage space of S3 objects including all existing file versions, provided the option "Include SharePoint or S3 file versions in the calculation of the 'Occupied space' value" is activated. If this option is not activated, only the size of the latest version is displayed as before.
- For a more focused workflow, the filters in the duplicate search are now hidden by default and better labeled.
- The option "Ignore NTFS hardlinks" of the duplicate search is now activated by default so that already deduplicated files are not displayed again even after restarting the application.
- In the file search, the filter for "Permissions" is now displayed at the first level of the search filter selection. This makes it easier to access the function.
- In an exported report, it is now clearer if user statistics could not be generated for this report.
- It is now possible to explicitly update the activation status of the stored license key.
- The application now runs more stable when a large number of scan paths are added via the Windows context menu.
- A possible bug has been fixed where the application could freeze when a scan is completed in the background with the window minimized.
- A possible freeze of the application when adding a cloud path has been fixed.
- Duplicate search on locally synchronized Google Drive files could cause the "Last modified" value to change due to the search operation. This issue has been fixed.
- The satisfaction survey no longer appears when TreeSize is started with the /NOGUI parameter.
- The column filters in the duplicate search are now also displayed correctly if "additional columns" have been added.
- A bug that prevented logging out of a Google account has been fixed.
- It is now possible to rename a file from the search results list while the search is still running.
- The configuration dialog for a SharePoint scan now behaves responsively when the window size is changed.
- File search: A possible program crash when loading search paths at program start has been fixed.
- File search: A problem when loading search paths using the /SCAN parameter has been fixed.
