De zesde releasecandidate van Total Commander versie 11.55 is verschenen. Dit programma kan als vervanging voor Windows Verkenner worden gebruikt. Doordat het beeld in tweeën is gesplitst, is het eenvoudig om bestanden te kopiëren, maar het programma kan veel meer. Zo zijn er diverse manieren om bestanden aan te passen, zijn een ingebouwde FTP-client en een multirenametool aanwezig, en is er ondersteuning voor een groot aantal compressieformaten. Verder kan de functionaliteit met plug-ins worden uitgebreid. Fixed:
- Multi-rename tool/Synchronize dirs: Clicking below the last item in the list was putting the focus on the last item
- When using the tool 'Everything' to get directory sizes, do not disable when 'Everything' not running. Instead, just stop trying to restart 'Everything'
- Find files, Plugins tab: Scroll line into view when sorting
- Configure custom columns: Scroll line into view when sorting
- Configure custom columns: Ctrl+PageUp/Down will now always move the line with the cursor, not the one with the scrollbar
- Configure custom columns: Always move buttons "Add column" and "Delete active column" to the end of the tab order
- Find files, Plugins tab: Moved button for resorting lines outside of the scroll box, so it's always visible even when there are a lot of lines
- Verify SHA256 hash of tcmdadmin.exe/tcmadm64.exe on Windows XP or earlier instead of signature, because XP cannot verify signatures with SHA256 hash
- Closing "Verify checksums" via Alt+F4 or X button didn't free the dialog box
- Find files: Improve loading of saved search with many plugin options by disabling redrawing while loading the comboboxes
- Find files, Plugins tab: Sorting the columns with Ctrl+Arrow could change the value of comboboxes
- Search in plugins: Sorting entries could leave selection in edit boxes
- Directory history would show virtual folders twice when one entry was restored from wincmd.ini, and another from going to the folder manually
- Directory history didn't properly store virtual folders with shell: prefix without an id list
