Er is een update uitgekomen voor MailStore Home met versienummer 9.8.1. De versie bevat een hotfix, maar is verder identiek aan versie 9.8 die eerder op dezelfde dag uitkwam. Met dit programma, dat gratis is voor thuisgebruik, kan een back-up worden gemaakt van alle e-mails. Ondersteuning is aanwezig voor pop3- en imap-accounts, de Microsoft-programma's Outlook Express tot en met Outlook 2016, Mozilla Thunderbird, accounts op Exchange, Kerio Connect en MDaemon, onlineaccounts zoals Gmail en mailbox-bestanden, die bijvoorbeeld door Eudora worden gebruikt.

- Client: Large number of email recipients may cause an overlap of the message content, which prevents the user from accessing the email body.

- Archiving process stops and a System.UnauthorizedAccessException is thrown when archiving from a file system which contains inaccessible folders (i.e. inappropriate permissions).
