In deze uitgave zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:
New Features in MailStore Version 26.1With MailStore 26.1, you can look forward to new archiving profiles with Microsoft Graph, improvements to the Management API, and many other enhancements. We would also like to prepare you for the end of support for external databases (PSQL, MSQL) and MailStore Proxy.
New Archiving Profiles With Microsoft GraphMicrosoft has announced that Exchange Web Services (EWS) will no longer be supported for Exchange Online as of October 1, 2026. To prepare our customers for this change, MailStore 26.1 introduces new archiving profiles that already leverage Microsoft Graph, ensuring future-proof email archiving. Learn more here.
Enhancements to the Management APIRelease 26.1 includes some enhancements to the Management API. Certificates (credentials) for connecting to Microsoft 365/Entra ID and for MailStore Cloud Export can now be managed and updated remotely. This is particularly helpful for managed service providers, who operate customer instances on behalf of their customers.
Early Announcement: Support of External Databases (PSQL, MSQL) and MailStore Proxy Will Be Deprecated SoonSecurity and performance are top priorities at MailStore. For these reasons, we have decided to remove the support of Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MailStore Proxy from MailStore Server by end of 2026. This reduces potential security risks and streamlines the system architecture. The built-in database provides fast and reliable access to all your data archived. Please refer to the online help and prepare for transferring external databases. Customers, still using the MailStore Proxy (our former inline SMTP gateway) shall review our recommendations to move to the MailStore Gateway.
To enable and simplify migration, especially for MailStore Server customers, archive stores can now be transferred from one location to another. It is even possible to merge archive stores via the API. This facilitates data migration, especially from external archive stores.
Some Minor but Useful ImprovementsThere are several minor improvements that MailStore users and administrators will appreciate. For instance, the status bar in the MailStore Client now shows the number of selected messages and the name of the user logged in. We have included the number of archived emails per profile in the status report, providing better visibility into archiving activity. To further enhance security, changing a user password by the administrator terminates all active sessions for that user, and changing one’s own password terminates all active sessions for that user except the current one. And finally, since software security and reliability is a top priority at MailStore, we have also fixed some bugs and updated several 3rd party libraries.
