Versie 6.0 van Subsonic is uitgekomen. Subsonic is een cross-platform-mediastreamer, die muziek en video's kan streamen, zowel binnen als buiten het eigen thuisnetwerk en naar verschillende gebruikers tegelijkertijd. Op de computer kan via een webbrowser toegang tot de media worden verkregen en er zijn ook apps voor onder meer Android, iOS en Windows Phone. De basisversie is gratis, maar heeft beperkte functionaliteit. Een abonnement voor de premium-versie kost een dollar per maand. De complete lijst met veranderingen en verbeteringen die in versie 6.0 zijn aangebracht kunnen hieronder worden gevonden.
