Versie 2.38 van EMDB is uitgekomen. EMDB, wat staat voor Eric's Movie Database, is een gratis programma waarmee een filmcollectie kan worden beheerd. Hoewel de download slechts 2MB groot is, beschikt het programma over uitgebreide functionaliteit. Zo kan relevante informatie van onlinedatabases als IMDb, MovieMeter, TMDb en TheTVDB worden opgehaald, kan worden bijgehouden welke films uitgeleend zijn en kunnen films die op de harde schijf staan direct vanuit het programma gestart worden. EMDB kan worden gebruikt in diverse talen, waaronder het Nederlands. In deze uitgave zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

- You can now also assign a media file in the Movie Details Panel and have it played using the Play button of the toolbar.
Add from Hard Disk:
- Fixed an issue where the OK button was not visible with very high (>130) DPI settings.
- The 'plot outline' field in the Add / Edit Movie window was not selectable with Ctrl-A (because it's a Multi Line Edit field).
- Added an option to search in custom fields.
- Added an option to search for movies loanded by a specic person(s).
Database:
- Added support for the local cover in folder.jpg.
Translations updated
- Fixed a crash when closing the Options window after removing movies for which the media files don't exist anymore.
