Software-update: Deluge 1.3.6

Na bijna een jaar van stilte is er weer een nieuwe versie van Deluge is uitgekomen. Deze bittorrent-client is ontwikkeld door Zach Tibbitts en Alon Zakai, twee leden van het Ubuntu-forum. Naast versies voor de bekende Linux-distributies worden er ook Deluge-versies voor Windows en Mac OS X uitgebracht. Het programma heeft alles wat je van een bittorrent-client mag verwachten: bittorrent-protocol-encryptie, mainline dht, upnp, nat-pmp, µTorrent Peer Exchange en de mogelijkheid om het programma via een webbrowser op afstand te beheren. Het changelog voor versie 1.3.6 ziet er als volgt uit:

http://git.deluge-torrent.org/deluge/log/?h=1.3-stable geeft nog meer info over wat er veranderd is. Wat voor sommige mensen toch wel erg fijn is, is dat aanpassingen via de WebUI ook daadwerkelijk worden opgeslagen (real-time) in de onderliggende configuratie-files.

Dat was toch al zo? Bij mij worden de settings altijd keurig opgeslagen. Of bedoel iets anders?

Ik zie dat er het eea verbeterd is qua plugins, heeft iemand de scheduler al eens aan de praat gekregen met een webui? Ik moet dat nu nog altijd doen met een cron en deluge-console....

Bij mij niet; ik wil bijvoorbeeld heel graag de ratio als kolom in het overzicht, maar ik moet dat heel vaak opnieuw instellen. Het lijkt wel alsof ie het alleen onthoudt zolang je ingelogd bent, daarna niet meer. Dit is dus wel een goede verbetering.
(Overigens is die webinterface echt ronduit fantastisch imho; los van die ratio als kolom heb ik nooit de behoefte gehad daar nog meer aan te veranderen.)

Ik heb hetzelfde probleem als Cyphax en hoop echt dat het opgelost is. Irritant om die kolommen telkens weer opnieuw in te moeten stellen.

Dat ie kolommen niet onthoud heb/had ik ook last van. Ik heb gister 1.3.6 geinstalleerd en ik ben erg benieuwd of dit nu goed gaat.

Deluge is echt een geweldige torrent client!
Nadat Utorrent mij teveel ging veranderen en ik steeds meer problemen ondervond ben ik overgestapt op Deluge. Tot vandaag nog nooit spijt van gehad en is sindsdien mijn nummer 1 client.

Ik ben van Deluge naar qBittorrent gegaan omdat ik Deluge 1.3.5 zo buggy vond en dat er maar langzaam een nieuwe versie van Deluge uitkomt. Tussen versie 1.3.5 en 1.3.6 zijn er pakweg 9 nieuwe versies van het onderliggende libtorrent van Rasterbar uitgekomen!

Ik sta nu te overwegen om terug te gaan naar Deluge, maar qBittorrent bevalt me nog prima.
