Christian Ghisler, de ontwikkelaar van Total Commander, zei daar het volgende over: "The 64-bit bit version is mainly for ignorant people who think that 64-bit is better, and for some very specific usage cases (e.g. only 64-bit extension available, or 64-bit Windows PE with no 32-bit support)."
What's new?Total Commander 8.0 is the first version available in both 32-bit and 64-bit. Currently there aren't many 64-bit plugins yet - I will publish them when they become available. Therefore you should keep the 32-bit version for the moment if you use plugins regularly.
- Searching with search list in "Search in" field (e.g. @c:\path\searchfile.txt) now also accepts wildcards and regular expressions
- Also show harddisks connected via Firewire with removable disk icon, just like USB disks
A list of additions and corrections, also for previous versions, can be found in the history file.
As usual, the update is free for all registered users.
