TeamViewer is bijgewerkt naar versie 7.0 build 12541. Met dit programma kunnen andere computers via een veilige vpn-verbinding op afstand worden beheerd. TeamViewer is gratis voor niet-commercieel gebruik en wordt ontwikkeld voor Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS en Android. Versie 7.0 is op dit moment echter alleen voor Windows te downloaden; aan de andere versies wordt nog gewerkt. Nieuw in versie 7 is onder andere de mogelijkheid om vergaderingen te beginnen voordat er deelnemers zijn en om uitnodigingen voor vergaderingen direct vanuit een e-mailprogramma te versturen. Daarnaast kunnen vergaderingen nu maximaal 25 deelnemers hebben. Verder is het eenvoudiger om documenten te delen tijdens vergaderingen en kan een vergadering of presentatie worden opgenomen. In deze update treffen we voornamelijk bugfixes en kleine verbeteringen aan.

- For the Black and whitelist it is possible to select whether to apply the settings for meetings as well
- TeamViewer will start up faster
- Video camera is only being blocked when really necessary
- Each remote support session gets its own chat widget on the supporter’s side
- Remote background color is now blue instead of black
- When not presenting the whole screen, the background is grey with an overlay
- Weblinks in the chat window are recognized and clickable
- Added a context menu for the chat window
- Access control settings for connections to other computers can be set for the Host module
- Fixed: Problem with VPN connections where no Windows user was logged on
