Software-update: WSUS Offline Update 6.8

WSUS Offline Update is voorzien van een update naar versie 6.8. Dit programma maakt het mogelijk om Windows-computers die over een trage of helemaal geen internetverbinding beschikken, toch van de laatste updates van Microsoft te voorzien. Door simpelweg een of meer besturingssystemen, officepakketten en talen aan te vinken, worden alle beschikbare updates van de ftp-server van Microsoft gedownload. Als de updates binnen zijn, wordt er naar keuze een iso-bestand per taal of per besturingssysteem van gemaakt. Via een cd of dvd kunnen dan vervolgens andere computers snel en eenvoudig worden bijgewerkt. WSUS Offline Update heeft ondersteuning voor Windows XP en hoger, en Office XP en hoger. Nieuw in deze release zijn onder andere ondersteuning voor SP1 voor Windows 7 en de mogelijkheid om de RC van IE9 te installeren.

• Fix: Case sensitive file name handling lead to false audit errors when attempting to install Windows Defender on Windows XP systems (deu and jpn only)
• Fix: DownloadUpdates.sh script contained invalid references to StaticDownloadLink-msse-*.txt (Thanks to "Andrew")
• Fix: CreateISOImage.sh script erroneously supported "wxp-x64" target (Thanks to "rupat")
• Fix: Added missing custom directory support for StaticDownloadLinks-dotnet.txt and StaticDownloadLinks-msse--glb.txt (Thanks to "rednaxela" and "yodog")
• Fix: Added missing template files for statical download definitions of .NET updates (Thanks to "rednaxela")
• Fix: Obsolete MSXML patches kb925672, kb925673, kb927977, kb927978, kb933579, kb936021 and kb936181 were not excluded (Thanks to "rustam")
• Fix: Obsolete .NET patches kb886903, kb928366, kb971108, kb979906, kb917283, kb922770, kb947746, kb947748, kb971110, kb971111 and kb974417 were not excluded (Thanks to "Denniss")
• Fix: Numerous obsolete patches for all platforms were not excluded (Thanks to "Denniss")
• Fix: XSLT filter for Windows Server 2003 x64 global included Japanese updates (Thanks to "Denniss")
• Fix: DownloadUpdates.sh and CreateISOImage.sh scripts did not support symbolic links as working directories (Thanks to "NoKurth")
• Fix: Installation of kb2416447 (security update for .NET 1.1) caused uncontrolled reboots (Thanks to "wwsmith" and "Denniss")

Heerlijk programma. Heb alleen het probleem met een lokale WSUS server hier op het werk: als ik een USB wil prepareren en dus alles laat downloaden via WSUS Offline, kan ik ook een lokale WSUS server opgeven (zodat niet alles van het internet gehaald moet worden). Maar hij schijnt deze lokale server niet te gebruiken.

Mij is opgevallen dat de wsus server als url worden ingesteld maar zonder de laatste slash. Dus: "http://wsusserver.intern.domain". Maar dan haalt ze nog niet alles alleen maar van die wsus server af, voor de indexen of zo iets gaat ze nog steeds naar internet. alleen de bulk data haalt ze van de index af.

Je kunt het bestand hier: http://www.virustotal.com/ uploaden om false-positives uit te sluiten, bijna elke bekende scanner bekijkt em dan even, zegt de meerderheid dat het nix aan het handje is, is het meestal wel safe, en je kan ook zelf beoordelingen achterlaten. Samen houden we internet wel veilig
Dit programma is overigens perfectly safe, dus het betreft een false-positive van je scanner, (
