Softland heeft doPDF versie 7.2 build 353 uitgebracht. Dit programma installeert zich als een printerdriver en maakt het mogelijk om vanuit elk programma met een printfunctie op eenvoudige wijze pdf-documenten te maken. De software is gratis voor privé- en commercieel gebruik, heeft geen Ghostscript nodig om zijn werk te kunnen doen en voegt geen watermerk of advertentie toe. Alleen in het scherm voor het kiezen van de locatie waarnaar het pdf-document moet worden weggeschreven, is een vermelding te zien naar novaPDF. Dat is een soortgelijk programma van dezelfde makers, met uitgebreidere opties, dat echter niet gratis is. Nieuw in deze release is de mogelijkheid om documenten met een hoge afbeeldingskwaliteit op te slaan.
doPDF 7.2.353 released
A new major version was released, doPDF 7.2 build 353. It contains one important feature, now on the Save As dialog you will be able to select between a "Small file" and a "High quality images" filter. Each of these filters uses basically a different compression engine for the documents:By default the "Small file" filter will be selected, but if you're not happy with the quality of the images in the resulting PDF, then you should use the other filter (which increases the size of the resulting PDF).
- Normal ZIP compression for the Small file filter
- High JPEG compression for the High quality images filter
