Een week geleden werd update 1.5 voor Battlefield 2 uitgebracht. Naar nu blijkt hebben veel gamers het probleem dat het spel crasht wanneer de toestcombinatie Alt+Tab wordt ingedrukt. De ontwikkelaars hebben het probleem kunnen oplossen en binnenkort verschijnt er een nieuwe versie van de bijna 2GB grote 1.5-patch, maar voor diegenen die de patch al geïnstalleerd hebben is er een hotfix. De hotfix is net geen megabyte groot en hoe deze moet worden geïnstalleerd is hieronder te lezen:
Battlefield 2 Update 1.50 ALT+TAB FIX
A large number of players who have installed 1.50 have been unable to use ALT+TAB without the game crashing out to Windows desktop. As such and with thanks to nea_alecu doing some investigations, our programmers have come up with a fix.
Instructions:
- Download the attached file
- Extract it into your Battlefield 2 install directory (you must have v1.50 installed already)
- When prompted accept that you want to over write the existing file
- In My Documents go to Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 and delete the cache directory
- Run BF2 as normal
