Vandaag is er een nieuwe versie uit de 2.6-bètatak van Skype voor Windows uitgekomen. Het gaat om versie 2.6.0.97 beta en de download kan hier gevonden worden. Met dit programma kunnen gratis gesprekken worden gevoerd met ander Skypegebruikers, of voor een minimale vergoeding naar vaste en mobiele telefoons. Sinds versie 2.6.0.74 beta wordt het programma gebundeld wordt met een optionele Google-toolbar, wat de download zo'n 2MB groter maakt.
