On the other hand, if you're stuck in the doldrums, or your 3D accelerator is aged over 12 months and feels as old as Burt Reynolds in Hooper then this card is certainly for you. It not only utilizes the most well-rounded, fastest and complete 2D/3D chip solution from NVIDIA but it also happens to improve upon the reference design and has a bit of extra 'oomph' over any other DDR GeForce 256 to date. With the extra 32MB of frame buffer memory you should be able to bump up that resolution and detail level to the max in some games using the Quake III: Arena engine and/or other 3D engines.
The extra 32MB of DDR memory is a great idea indeed and one which Dell has already told Sharky Extreme they are looking to pursue with the NV15 next time around… We are all looking forward to that. An NVIDIA NV15 with 128MB DDR-RAM, anyone? Any takers? Settle down and get in line…
