Enkele uren geleden schreven we al dat Asus een notebookfabriek van ECS heeft overgenomen voor bijna één miljard Taiwanese dollars. DigiTimes bericht dat dit slechts het begin is van een serie aankopen. Binnen twee maanden zal Asus een tweede fabriek kopen en nog eens drie fabrieken zullen waarschijnlijk in de nabije toekomst volgen. To start up production at its newly-purchased factories in the shortest possible time, Asustek is said to be keeping all employees at the facilities after the purchases.
