Another issue that you have to pay attention to is the dual channel DDR Ram. That means that you will "need" two identical sticks of DDR. OK, they don't have to be identical but certainly need to be matched in our opinion. Obviously, this could be an expense if you don't already have matching sticks or two sticks of ram at all. While the dual channel DDR certainly got us hot and heavy last summer, it seems to be nothing but a hindrance at this point in time. If you think you can get away with using only one stick of DDR, you would correct. It will however drop your memory bandwidth by around 20% and certainly effect your overall system performance.
While there is absolutely nothing wrong with this board, if you are a guy that likes to tweak a bunch, you will be left flat with the ABIT NV7-133R. I can't suggest it for a new gaming box but seems to do just fine when it comes to business and content creation applications. If you are a hardcore overclocker, look elsewhere as this is not a grassroots ABIT board by any stretch of the imagination.
