Bij Accelenation.com is een review verschenen waarin twee dual Xeon moederborden gebaseerd op de i860 chipset worden vergeleken. In de review wordt de MSI 860D Pro met de Iwill DX400-SN vergeleken. Beide moederborden zijn gebaseerd het reference design van Intel en presteren dan ook bijna identiek. Aangezien beide moederborden stabiel zijn en uitgerust zijn met de broodnodige features is de plank met het laagste prijskaartje de beste keus aldus de reviewer:
Well, it is easy to see that both boards faired almost identically. They are both based on the Intel reference board, and it shows. Both were very stable, and are packed with features. I think with the latest BIOS, the DX400 is a little faster, but it is almost negligible. I think the deciding factor really had to be price. I know the DX400 is in or around the $800 range. I did find one online store that had it at exactly $800. I am not sure on the 860D. I never got a price from MSI, but I am assuming it is similar. Personally, if I were picking a board, I would get whichever I could find at the lower price.
