This monitor is available for around $530 US depending on where you get it from. There are 15" TFT''s available for as little as $300 US, but they are a lot lower quality with much less features. You will not get things like built in speakers, a rotating screen and digital input. The less expensive monitors also have lower brightness and contract levels, as well as lower bandwidth and a smaller view angle.
A swivel base on this would have made a nice addition. Sometimes if you are trying to show somebody something it is nice to be able to turn the monitor towards them, especially because it is harder to see the 150T from off to the side then it is with a CRT monitor. The good part about the base is that it is removable so you can mount it on a wall if you would like, I have not seen that on any other low priced 15" TFT screens.
Overall I think this was a really nice monitor, if you have to spend hours in front of a computer every day I would recommend you look into getting a flat screen monitor they are a lot easier on the eyes. The one down side to pretty much every 15" flat panel is that the max resolution is 1024x768. For most people that isn't a problem, but I like viewing at 1600x1200 so I can fit more windows on my desktop, so for now I stick with my flat CRT monitor, even though it isn't quite as nice as a TFT screen.
