The MSI K7T Pro 2A like its predecessors includes the ability to change the FSB from 100Mhz all the way up to 160MHz in 1MHz increments. While this may seem pretty impressive we were only able to get 118Mhz FSB stable. This is unfortunately a limitation of the EV6 FSB that AMD have chosen for the K7 family of processors but all you hardcore overclockers despair not, for this board has another overclocking option. The MSI K7T Pro 2A is another of the motherboards emerging with multiplier manipulation. Provided you have a unlocked Athlon or Duron you can easily change the multiplier factor from 6x up to 12.5x in 0.5x increments. Since FSB overclocking is limited on AMD Athlon systems multiplier adjustments are the best way to overclock the CPU since you are more than likely to get a faster speed out of the CPU than the FSB can provide. Vcore adjustments are also available ranging from 1.5v up to 1.85v in 0.25v stepping. VIO is also adjustable from 3.3 up to 3.7v in 0.1v steps and the best part about all of this is that you can do it in BIOS, Vcore, VIO, FSB and Multipliers all done in the BIOS, an overclockers best friend.
[...]The MSI K7T Pro 2A is a very well built, very stable and very well tweaked motherboard. The layout of the motherboard was well thought up, along with capacitor placements and power connector placement. Our only major problem with the board was the implementation of the CNR slot over a good old ISA slots, ISA maybe aging but it sill has more particle use than the CNR and AMR slots.
This board is another ideal KT7 RAID and A7V alternative with ATA-100 intergraded and multiplier adjustments, 8 out of 10!
