SuSE heeft afgelopen week een Linux distributie voor Sun UltraSparc workstations en servers aangekondigd. Sparc is de vijfde architectuur die door SuSE wordt ondersteund, naast x86, PowerPC, IBM S/390 en Alpha. Daarnaast wordt er actief deelgenomen aan de ontwikkeling van de x86-64 Linux port. To date, SuSE Linux has supported PowerPC, S/390 and Alpha processors in addition to the Intel platform.
