Hilbert Hagedoorn berichtte mij dat hij een review heeft geschreven van de Leadtek Winfast GeForce2 GTS. De kaart bleek erg snel (duh):
As you can see, the GeForce2 GTS is king of them all. In higher resolutions we can cleasrly see the power of the GeForce2. Quake III in HQ 32bit |@ a resolution of 1600x1200 is now actually very playable at alsmost 30 FPS. When you want to play Q3A with FSAA on then you'll be able to do it up-to a resolution of 800x600, after this resolution, frames per second will fall down like dropping a stone on a soufflé. Still it's a nice option and we're glad to see it is there.[break]De conclusie hebben we al vaak gezien, en die is dat de GeForce2 GTS het snelst verkrijgbare is, maar als je al een GeForce256 hebt kun je beter nog even wachten.[/break]The Leadtek Winfast GeForce2 GTS is an exceptional videocard. It is faster than almost any comparable videocard. The package has all that you need. The card performed stable and sound. We had no problems whatsoever. We recommend this card to you as a very good buy. If you own a GeForce 256 then I'd recommend you to wait until the next generation videocards will arrive. Yes, the GTS is better and faster, but is it worth investing $350 in a card that is just a little faster than your previous videocard ? We don't believe so. When you upgrade from a Voodoo3, TNT(2) or Matrox G400 then that's where you'll be able to see some serious results. Last but not least, if you are not planning to upgrade your CPU very soon, then invest your money in a card like this, but would like to play high-quality games in high resolutions then it will give you some serious bang for your bucks when it comes to playing games. It's the fastest card available (at this time of course).
