If you are operating sub-133MHz FSB, stick to a mature BX motherboard. The VT6X4 and all the VIA133A motherboards I have tested so far suffer from poorer memory performance compared with the BX-chipset. While the VIA133A chipset offers AGP4x and UDMA66, these two features do not count for much so far.
If you are operating at and above 133MHz FSB, the VT6X4 is a stable and well balanced motherboard (a BX motherboard is not really for overclocking past 133MHz due to the lack of the 1/2 AGP divider). Although the VT6X4 memory subsystem performance cannot match that of the MS6309, the AGP implementation appears to be superior - and overall provides for superior performance. This motherboard is decent enough for Coppermine overclocking -- I am holding off an outright recommendation due to the few FSB options between 133MHz and 150MHz.
