TRoXX brengt ons het blije bericht dat beta 2 van Opera 4 is gereleased: "Opera zelf heeft (nog) niet gemeld wat er verbeterd is aan beta 2, maar voor zover ik kan controleren zijn de bugs die er in beta 1 nog in zaten allemaal verdwenen en is het echt een razendsnelle browser geworden die (op wat kleine puntjes na) alles kan wat IE/Netscape kunnen. Als je Opera 3.5 of hoger geregistreerd had (we laten in het midden hoe) dan kun je het oude registratienummer gewoon in Opera 4 gebruiken":
