Enkele dagen nadat Herrie zijn nieuwste gehackte firmwares beschikbaar stelde, heeft hij op het forum van CD Freaks een herziende versie gepost van deze firmwares voor de NEC ND-25x0-branders. Het gaat om versie 108v3-2 voor de NEC ND-2500A en versienummer 218v3-2 voor NEC's ND-2510A dvd-brander. Herrie heeft deze nieuwe release zodanig getweakt dat het mogelijk is om Dual Layer-schijfjes te branden en dat +R(W)- en +R Dual Layer-bitsetting toegepast kan worden. Daarnaast worden er een klein aantal nieuwe media ondersteund:
New in v3 Final Test 2:This firmware is RPC1, allows bitsetting (using DVDBitsetting, DVDInfoPro or your recording software). This firmware is supposed to work on NEC 2xx0 drives, including NEC 2100(A), NEC 2500(A/B/Z/S) and NEC 2510(A/B/Z/S).
DVD-R:Modified K250->K210 in the binaries, so they allow flashing with TDB's utility, for people who can't get Liggy's NECWinFlash to work.

- RITEKM02 4x @ 8x using 6x and 8x from MCC 01RG20
- VDSPMSAB001 4x @ 8x using 2.4x, 4x from VDSPMSAB001, 6x and 8x from Philips 081
- POMSI00201 support corrected, should now allow 8x burning using Plasmon1 C01 strategy.
- MPOMEDIA040 4x @ 8x using 6x and 8x from PRODISC R03
- INFOME R20 8x @ 8x using INFOME R20 strategy from NEC 3500 2.18 firmware.
- CMC MAG E01 8x @ 8x using CMC MAG E01 strategy from NEC 3500 2.18 firmware (might give write quality improvements!).
