Software-update: StartIsBack 1.3.1

Er zijn diverse programma's in omloop die een startknop en startmenu toevoegen aan de desktopmodus van Windows 8. Sommige zijn gratis, andere zijn opensource zoals bijvoorbeeld ClassicShell en weer andere zijn commercieel. Uiteindelijk komt het op de persoonlijke voorkeur aan. StartIsBack is net als Start8 van Stardock commercieel, maar het is een stuk kleiner en goedkoper. Een licentie voor StartIsBack kost 2,30 euro. Die licentie is levenslang en het programma mag dan op twee computers worden gebruikt. Voor omgerekend 3,82 euro mag dat op vijf computers. StartIsBack is meertalig en ook in het Nederlands te gebruiken. Het programma bestaat sinds november en dit weekeinde is versie 1.3.1 verschenen.
