Software-update: Amahi 5.6

Dit weekeinde is versie 5.6 van Amahi uitgebracht. Amahi wordt door de ontwikkelaars omschreven als een hda, oftewel een home digital assistant. Amahi draait op Fedora en biedt onder andere gedeelde data-opslag, automatische backups, secure vpn, gedeelde applicaties zoals de agenda van iCal of Outlook, streamen van audio en video, en een eigen wiki. Meer informatie over het programma kan hier worden gevonden. Nieuw in versie 5.6 is onder andere de verbeterde Greyhole storage pooling. Verder zijn flinke prestatieverbeteringen waar te nemen en is er een nieuw logo. Hieronder zijn de volledige release notes voor versie 5.6 te vinden.

Greyhole

• New greyhole release with stability updates and the ability to browse the attic as a share (to be added to the platform soon)

Amahi Plug Edition

• New release of Amahi Plug Edition, for the popular Plug Computer! This update includes over 10 performance updates and tweaks, so that Amahi can run in even the most resource constrained Plug devices with 120MB of memory, like the Seagate Dockstar or a PogoPlug.

Known Issues

• Some applications like Redmine and Cacti require updating the sudo package to the latest for compatibility
