Pamela is een antwoordapparaat voor Skype dat afkomstig is van Pamela Systems. Deze software is in staat om een bericht op te nemen of een tekstbericht te versturen naar de beller als je geen zin of tijd hebt om een gesprek via Skype te antwoorden. Pamela is verkrijgbaar in twee smaken, waarvan de Basic-variant gratis te gebruiken is. Gisteren is versie 1.2 van de software uitgebracht. De Basic-uitvoering is hier te downloaden, de shareware Pro-versie kan via deze link naar binnen getankt worden en neemt dertig dagen de Skypefoon voor je op. - Functionality: the recording and playback device can now be the same as the devices selected in Skype (important if you want to listen to voice messages through the devices set in Skype and not in Windows)
- Functionality: added options to automatically synchronise audio device settings with Skype
- Functionality: if LAME codec is installed, all sound recordings are now native MP3
- Functionality: samplingrate and vitrate of audio recordings can now be selected by the user
