Met Pamela wordt niet die geblondeerde babe bedoeld 
, maar een antwoordapparaat voor Skype dat afkomstig is van Pamela Systems. Deze software is in staat om een bericht op te nemen of een tekstbericht te versturen naar de beller als je geen zin of tijd hebt om een gesprek via Skype te antwoorden. Pamela is verkrijgbaar in twee smaken, waarvan de Basic-variant gratis te gebruiken is. De nieuwste versie van het antwoordapparaat is genummerd als 1.0a en kan gedownload worden door het inullen van deze pagina. Welke veranderingen doorgevoerd zijn in deze nieuwe release is hieronder te lezen:

- Change: increased maximum recording time in Pamela Basic Version from 3 to 10 minutes. Recording length can be set individually from 1 - 10 minutes
- Change: message length now displays actual length of recorded message
- Change: re-architected connection to Skype resulting in more stable connection
- Change: re-architected Pamela kernel to three tier model resulting in better performance, increased stability and easier expandability. Now Pamela can be ported to other OS or connected to other VoIP clients
- Change: improved installation routine of virtual audio drivers. Windows audio drivers will not be changed anymore after installation. Great thanks to our tester Anders Olsson in helping on this!
- Change: updated default greeting message "Greeting.wav" to 48kHz
