Software-update: CudaText 1.238.0

Versie 1.238.0 van CudaText is uitgekomen. Deze open source en crossplatform teksteditor is beschikbaar voor Windows, Linux, macOS, BSD en Solaris. Het programma heeft uitgebreide mogelijkheden die met name voor softwareontwikkelaars interessant zijn. Het is ontwikkeld in Object Pascal, start snel en door middel van Python-add-ons kan de functionaliteit verder worden uitgebreid. Het programma wordt actief ontwikkeld en regelmatig verschijnen er nieuwe versies. De changelog sinds versie 1.137.0 ziet er als volgt uit:

• Add: using AI (Kimi K3, Z.ai), we reduced parse time of EControl lexer parser on big files by 40...60%
• Add: findbar enables the 'Count all' action also in the viewer-mode
• Add: toolbar buttons "undo"/"case convertion"/"comments" are now disabled for picture viewer / binary viewer
• Add: picture viewer uses smoothing (anti-aliasing) if zoomed-out
• Change: renamed log 'cudatext.error' to 'cudatext_error.log'
• Change: Windows: on error, app writes 'cudatext_error.log' near 'cudatext.exe' (before: to the TEMP folder)
• Fix: vertical scrollbar can't reach the end when 'gaps' make the text taller than the editor
• Fix: lexer Markdown: bug with backticks in bold-blocks
• Fix: lexer HTML: regression with quoted strings in !DOCTYPE tag
• Fix: in prev versions, if exception (eg file-opening error of 'history.json') occurs on startup, it gave corrupted look of GUI; now corrupted look should not happen; and in the case of startup errors app writes more details to the 'cudatext_error.log'

CudaText 1.237.5

• Add: finder better shows index of found match / count of total matches, in the statusbar: now it occurs always (only if "find_hi_max_lines" is not limiting this), ie user don't need to show findbar, to activate 'Hi' option in the findbar, it is now like in VSCode
• Add: improve Undo/Redo system to feel more like VSCode in edge cases
• Add: lexer YAML: support keys with spaces, quoted keys
• Add: lexer YAML: better rules 'alias', 'anchor', 'single-quote string'
• Add: lexer YAML: don't show 'list items' in code-tree
• Fix: auto-paired quotes/brackets were not recorded to macros; yet it's fixed only for the case: _no_ selection

CudaText 1.237.3

• Add: Windows: OLE drag&drop of text from/to other applications; tested (Windows 7 ... Windows 11) with Firefox, Sublime-Text, Notepad++, CopyQ
• Add: "Help / Check for updates" supports the case when last cudatext version don't have release for current OS, e.g. when 1.237.2 don't have release for current OS Linux
• Add: for future Differ 2 plugin: optimize API ed.get_wrapinfo speed
• Fix: regression: "Reopen" command sometimes shows document as empty
• Fix: when big lexer-files are opened, saving of user.json may give too big delay, additional n seconds
• Fix: making 'pritimive column selection' by mouse Alt+drag ("carets_primitive_column_sel": true) over wrapped line worked bad, so now app disables 'primitive selection' mode when affected lines are actually wrapped
• Fix: bug visible in Differ 2 plugin: if ui-tab is splitted and paired editor has text and has modified=false, that paired text was not saved to session
• Fix: minor bug with caret position after undo in API ed.insert/replace/replace_lines/delete
