Firmware-update: Asustor ADM 5.1.4.RJV2

Asustor heeft een nieuwe versie van Asustor Data Master versie 5.1 uitgebracht, de beheersoftware voor al zijn nasproducten. Voor meer informatie over ADM 5.1 verwijzen we naar deze pagina. In deze update zijn diverse fouten en beveiligingsproblemen verholpen. De volledige changelog voor deze uitgave kan hieronder worden gevonden.

Change log:

• SSD caching now defaults to read-only mode to improve SSD caching performance and integrity.
• When initializing an ASUSTOR NAS with ADM 5.1.4, the minimum login password length has now changed to 8 characters.
• The ADM update process has been adjusted. From the next ADM update, it will check if the volumes are in upgrade status and the SMART status of individual HDDs and SSDs, and remind the user whether to continue updating ADM.
• When multiple files are selected from Drivestor and Drivestor Pro series NAS and downloaded to a PC via a browser, the compressed file can now be decompressed normally on the PC.
• ADM Defender now allows Docker network bridges with custom interface names to connect properly.
• The Lowest SMB version can now be set to SMB3.
• ADM system announcements now support displaying important volume or HDD warning messages that require immediate attention.
• Linux Kernel patched to fix potential vulnerabilities:
  • Bad Epoll, pedit COW: CVE-2026-46242, CVE-2026-46331 (AS-2026-016).
  • GhostLock, DirtyClone: CVE-2026-43499, CVE-2026-43503 (AS-2026-017).
• Fixed ADM potential vulnerabilities:
  • CVE-2026-18186, CVE-2026-18187, CVE-2026-18188, CVE-2026-67244 (AS-2026-018)
  • CVE-2026-67245, CVE-2026-67246, CVE-2026-67247 (AS-2026-019)
  • CVE-2026-67248 (AS-2026-020)
• OpenSSL package updated to version 3.5.7 to fix potential vulnerabilities: CVE-2026-45447 (AS-2026-014).
• FFmpeg package updated to version 7.1.5 to fix potential vulnerabilities: CVE-2026-8461 (AS-2026-015).
• cifs-utils package updated to fix potential vulnerabilities: CVE-2026-46243.
• ADM File Explorer bug fixes.
• Backup Central bug fixes.
• Storage Manager bug fixes.

Sorry that the R&D team still cannot find the ways to resolve the confilcts between Linux kernal 6.6 and the driver of this UPS.

Ow dattes.. ja, weet het weer. Zuur man, ups de deur maar uit en andere ?

ik zie gewoon alle ups info in de instellingen, ook de capaciteit, maar hun schil zegt error en geeft ook een buzzer. in een config file in hun nas staat een lege waarde.

Dat had ik 7 maanden geleden zelf al gevonden en aan ze laten weten. Een maand later loggen ze in op de nas, en mailen ze dat ze het probleem gevonden hebben.

Adm 4 verwerkte die data van de ups wel, en adm 5 niet. de ups stuurt gewoon een snmp bericht, die software is al jaren hetzelfde.

Het was heel lang onduidelijk waar die alerts buzzer weg kwam omdat er nergens een log entry was van een probleem met snmp. In de vorige update hebben ze dat pas toegevoegd. De instellingen voor de snmp komen nu ook direkt in beeld.
