Versie 21.0.0 van ShareX is uitgekomen. Met dit opensourceprogramma kunnen zowel statische als bewegende beelden worden afgevangen, waarna er vervolgens verschillende bewerkingen op los kunnen worden gelaten. Wanneer je tevreden bent met het resultaat kan het worden opgeslagen naar zo'n tachtig bestemmingen, zoals Flickr, Pastebin, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon S3 en Streamable. Ook kan de functionaliteit verder uitgebreid worden met zelfgeschreven uploadmodules om ook dit onderdeel naar eigen hand te zetten. In versie 21.0.0 zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen aangebracht:

- Holding Ctrl now disables shape selection, allowing you to draw a shape on top of another shape.
- Holding Ctrl while creating a shape now allows you to move it.

- Added "Toggle ellipse shape" option to Magnify & Spotlight tools.
- In the Background tool, gradient colors can now be edited using the color picker.
- Added “Shadow options” menu, when right clicking the "Toggle shadow" button, these are the options:
